Moonlight Flight captures a slice of magic as these horses gallop from the cold blue shade of winter into the crisp warm sunshine near Telluride, Colorado. Photographer Christopher Marona was there at the right time.
This image illustrates a curious phenomenon of light; an enormous difference in what is referred to as Kelvin temperature. The shaded snow in the background if over the top blue, while the snow you see in the foreground is a bit warmer than normal because of the late afternoon light.
Your print will be signed in the lower right corner. The image size is 25.5 x 16.75 inches.
The lithographs are offset reproductions printed by master pressmen on 6 color printing presses. The are printed on heavy 100 lb. glossy Quintessence cover stock.
Some people choose to mat out the graphics to view just the image. The product pages display the lithos with and without the graphics so you can imagine what it would look like framed and matted.
During the last pass on the press, the lithos are coated in an ultra-violet varnish. While the coating will help protect the image from sun damage, it will, like any art, fade if exposed to direct sun.
The lithos provide an appealing print option at an affordable price.
